The night here has been whispering to me lately. As I find myself standing in the cool breeze, the monsoon winds playing around like a little boy. There is something about the midnight stillness. Sometimes you can tell what’s going to happen, and sometimes you’re caught up by surprise.
I see the darkness when the lights go out. Maybe my room is responsible for lighting up the blacked out streets during such times. In those moments, I can hear the intent of the shadows. It can be haunting sometimes. I remind myself that nothing great was achieved without courage and sacrifice.
The wind with its eerie reminder and loneliness puts me to bed anyway, for in the morning I go again into the jungle. God knows how much I miss it.
